What this covers
This page describes the information Circle Comment uses to run the product: your account, the LinkedIn session you connect, and the commenting setup you save. Circle Comment is not affiliated with LinkedIn.
Account
If you create an account, we store the email and password you submit, or the Google account you use to sign in. We use that to recognize you and keep you signed in.
LinkedIn session
The Chrome extension reads the LinkedIn session from a normal LinkedIn page in your browser and sends it to Circle Comment. We use that session to search posts and publish comments for the accounts you connect. The extension does not send those LinkedIn requests itself.
Connect an account only if you are allowed to use it. That includes your own account and a teammate’s account when they have allowed it.
Commenting setup
We store the settings you enter so the product can run:
- Keywords, and an author profile URL if you provide one
- The commenting style or prompt
- The link you want included in comments
Comments are public
A comment is posted on LinkedIn. LinkedIn, the post’s author, and anyone who can see the post can read it. If the comment includes your link, people who click it visit your site.
How we use this information
We use it to provide the product, keep your account and trial, publish the comments you configure, and fix problems with the service. We do not sell your personal information.
Who else receives it
LinkedIn receives the requests we send with your session and the comments we publish. Companies that host the product can process this information for us so the service can run. We may also disclose information if the law requires it.
Website analytics
The marketing site uses Google Analytics to measure visits and which pages people open. Google receives the browser and page data used for that measurement.
How long we keep it
We keep account and setup information while your account is open. You can ask us to delete the account. Disconnecting LinkedIn stops new use of that session.
Contact
Questions about this page can be sent through the contact option on this website. The Terms explain how the product may be used. The Data Processing Agreement covers personal data we process for you.
